Bubba Watson spun a 7-under-par 35-30=65 in his second round of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans to post 6-under 138 and sit six strokes back of the 36-hole clubhouse lead.
The 2011 champion at TPC Louisiana went a taut 8-for-14 in birdie opportunities today. After opening with a bogey-5 at the first hole, he responded with eight birdies, including conversions from 18'9" at 6 and 21'7" at 14. At the time he signed his card, his 65 was two strokes lower than all other golfers that had already concluded the second round.

Bubba Watson opened his title defense of the Masters with a 3-over-par 38-37=75.
The lefty hit 12 greens in regulation but required a whopping 35 putts to complete his loop of Augusta National today. He converted only one birdie, that a 4 at the second hole, while absorbing bogey-5s at 1, 5, 7 and 14.

Watson looks to join Tiger Woods, Nick Faldo and Jack Nicklaus as those who have successfully defended their Masters title. If you believe he belongs in the same category as those past champions, perhaps you should buy a ticket and hop aboard the Bubba train. He's never missed a cut here in four tries, but his win stands as his only top 10.

Bubba Watson fired a bogey-free 5-under-par 33-34=67 in the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational to end his week at 4-under 284.
Given the windy conditions, his round was spectacular and may not be matched. He circled five birdies, beginning with an 8'5" effort on the par-4 third. In fact, with the exception of a chip-in from 15 yards on the par-4 13th, each of his other four birdies were inside 11 feet. While it's highly unlikely that his clubhouse lead has any chance of standing up, it is certainly a possibility that he will wind up with his third top 10 of the year. He will not play in the Shell Houston Open.

Bubba Watson suffered some early setbacks, but responded to turn in a 1-under-par 36-35=71 in the third round of the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship.
Watson parred the first two holes before a double-bogey six from a washed approach shot at the third put him on tilt. Rather than bounce back, he added another bogey at the fourth. He birdied three of the next four holes to even his nine. Turning his attention to the back nine, he stuffed an approach to 13 inches on the 14th to negate a bogey at the 13th and finally got his round under par at the 16th. He heads to the final round at 10-under 206.

Overnight co-leader Bubba Watson followed his opening 66 at the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship with a 3-under-par 35-34=69.
Watson arrived at the midpoint in 9-under 135, two back of the 36-hole clubhouse lead, but he went just 4-for-14 in birdies opportunities today. His longest birdie conversion measured 23'2" at the par-3 fourth hole. He's played the quartet of par 5 in bogey-free 3-under this week and settled for a par on the par-5 first hole, which has averaged as the easiest hole to par every year on the PGA TOUR dating back to 2006.

Bubba Watson earned a share of the overnight lead at the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship with a 6-under-par 32-34=66 in his opening round.
The lefty hit 13 greens in regulation and sufferd just one miscue when he drove into the lake at the par-4 third hole, eventually taking a bogey. He compensated beautifully elsewhere, rolling in seven birdies, including conversions from 14'7", 15'2" and 10'7" at Nos. 5, 9 and 16. He was the fifth and final to reach the clubhouse with a piece of the lead.

Bubba Watson hung on to defeat Jim Furyk in 22 holes in the Jones Bracket in the second round of the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship.
Furyk didn't hole the lead at any point and Watson was 3 up after 10 holes, but Furyk squared the match with a birdie at 11 and pars at 12 and 14. Watson regained the lead with a birdie at the 14th, but Furyk forced sudden death with a short birdie conversion at 18. Watson yanked his similarly short birdie try at the same hole. The duo went par-birdie-par to begin sudden death, but Watson would ultimately prevail with a par at the par-4 fourth hole. The lefty will reset and face Jason Day in Saturday's third round.

Bubba Watson dismissed Chris Wood 2 and 1 in the Jones Bracket in the opening round of the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship.
The duo went back and forth through seven holes after which the lefty led 1 up. He then holed a chip for eagle from just in front of the green at the par-5 eighth. They would halve the next six holes before trading wins at 15 and 16 for Watson to retain his 2-up lead. Matching birdies at 17 ended it. Watson is now 3-0 in the first round at Dove Mountain since 2011. He'll contend with Ryder Cup teammate Jim Furyk on Friday.

Bubba Watson stumbled his way to a 6-over-par 37-40=77 in his opening round of the Northern Trust Open.
The lefty simply didn't have it today. He landed just eight greens in regulation and failed to convert a single birdie. Meanwhile, he swallowed six bogeys, three of which as a result of whiffed par attempts from inside 10 feet. Today's score is his highest in 18 career competitive rounds of Riviera Country Club.

Bubba Watson polished off the Waste Management Phoenix Open with a bogey-free 7-under-par 31-33=64 in the final round.
Many gamers were bitten by Bubba's late withdrawal from last week's Farmers Insurance Open due to illness, but his final round sent a notice to everyone that he is go for launch. Even though he circled seven birdies, none was more vintage Watson than his final red number on the 18th hole. After finding the fairway with the longest drive of the week, he knocked it to 11'1" and drained the putt. He will not play in the upcoming AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.

Back inside the ropes for the first time since a T4 at Kapalua (due to an illness that forced him to withdraw early from last week's stop at Torrey Pines), the lefty hit 16 greens in regulation at TPC Scottsdale and poured in five birdies, the longest of which from 12 feet at the 15th hole. His only bogey occurred at the par-3 12th where he failed to get up and down from a greenside bunker. Since late 2011, Watson has been automatic in all formats, so expect him to make some noise this week as well.

Bubba Watson withdrew prior to his tee time in the opening round of the Farmers Insurance Open, citing an illness.
Watson was scheduled to go off the 10th tee at Torrey Pines North at 9:30 a.m. PT. He alerted his followers on Twitter with two entries: "Pulling out of tourney this morning, don't have energy for golf. Feel the same as Maui. Got to say thanks to my peeps for the prayers! ... Wife and I are sick, hope little man doesn't get it. Time to rest an be ready to play next week."

Watson finishes the week tied with Keegan Bradley at 9-under 210. It's no surprise that the Plantation Course suited Watson's eye this week, as it rewards long drives and goes easy on the demand for accuracy. His ball-striking stats coming out of the opener will be juicy, ranking inside the top five in driving distance and GIR.

Watson alternated birdies for bogeys on his outward nine, but was blemish-free 4-under on his inward path to the clubhouse. Through 36 holes, he's only squared two bogeys. He enters the final round looking for his fifth PGA TOUR victory.

Bubba Watson jumped out of the gates in 2013 with a bogey-free 3-under-par 36-34=70 in the opening round of the Hyundai Tournament of Champions.
The Masters champ quietly went about his business, circling his first birdie at the par-5 15th before settling in for seven pars. He would add back-to-back birdies on the par-5 fifth and short par-4 sixth. All three of his birdies would fall from inside of five feet. With a little help from the flat stick, Bubba could be a factor.
