| Assets: | A good wind player and a solid ball striker with his irons. Plays a safe game and gets aggressive only when he feels he's in complete control of his game. Has an imaginative short game. |
| Flaws: | Has his fair share of struggles off the tee box and isn't a confident putter. He leaves way too many strokes on the greens. Has confidence issues and needs to trust his swing more. |
| Career Potential: | Regular contender with upside. |

Impact
He lost the handle on his greenside magic. Wagner landed only 10 greens in regulation today but squared four bogeys or erase four birdies. This is in direct contrast to Thursday's perfect scrambling after missing seven GIR. His loop around Harbour Town in the second wasn't without its highlights, however. Wagned opened with a chip-in from 12 yards off the green at the par-4 first hole. He also rolled in a conventional birdie from 11'3" at 12. At the time he signed his scorecard, he held very early possession of the 36-hole clubhouse lead, but it won't last long. |

Since a T13 at the season-opening, 30-man tilt at Kapalua, Wagner is 4-for-9 with zero top 25s. He was on today, however, going 7-for-7 in scrambling and rolling in four birdies. His longest measured just 10'1" at the 15th hole. Today's score is his lowest in eight competitive rounds at Harbour Town. |

Wagner lacking form ahead of Arnold Palmer | 03/19/2013 9:18 PM
News
Johnson Wagner limps into the Arnold Palmer Invitational with his only top-35 finish to date coming at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions.

Impact
His last three starts at Bay Hill went T30, T30, culminating with a T4 last season. Unfortunately the state of his game does not trend towards his most recent finish at Arnie's place. If he could grab his first top 25 since January, it could at least serve as a slump buster. |

Impact
Wagner has made two cuts in five events, but his only top 25 came at the limited field Hyundai Tournament of Champions. He's seen the weekend twice in five tries at Riviera CC, both times sneaking inside the top 25. The most recent was a T24 last season. |

News

Impact
He hit only 10 greens in regulation and all three of his birdies disappeared from beyond 11 feet, the longest of which measuring 20'2" at the 10th hole, his first of the round. However, he'd erased them with four bogeys, including a 13'5" conversion at the par-4 15th. Last year, Wagner led the field in par-5 performance at bogey-free 9-under, but he parred both of the three-shotters today. |
