| Assets: | A powerful hitter that plays a fearless game. Has confidence in his skills and abilities while displaying a very sharp iron game. Knows how to limit mistakes and his scoring is very consistent. |
| Flaws: | Doesn't put the ball in play on a consistent basis from the tee box and can't seem to capitalize enough on birdie opportunities on the greens. His wedge game also costs him a few strokes per round. |
| Career Potential: | Consistent contender with upside. |

O'Hair makes the most of poor ball-striking | 05/16/2013 5:37 PM
News
Despite hitting only 10 greens in regulation, Sean O'Hair mustered a 4-under-par 32-34=66 in his opening round of the HP Byron Nelson Championship.

Impact
O'Hair split just four (of 14) fairways as well, thus limiting his potential to go low -- ball-in-hand applies only in closely mown areas -- but it didn't matter. While he penciled in three bogeys, he more than offset with seven birdies. That lot included a 36'9" conversion at the par-4 10th hole -- his first of the day -- and a zero-putt eight-yarder from off the green at the par-3 13th. He signed hit card sitting six strokes off the clubhouse lead. |

Late birdies give O'Hair boost at THE PLAYERS | 05/11/2013 4:09 PM
News
Sean O'Hair birdied three of his final four holes in the third round of THE PLAYERS in recording a 3-under-par 34-35=69.

Impact
O'Hair was blemish-free with two birdies on his opening nine before stumbling early on the back nine at TPC Sawgrass. He hit his drive on 10 into a fairway bunker, eventually settling for a double-bogey six. Though he bounced back with a birdie on the par-5 11th, he gave it right back on the par-3 13th. He saved his round with birdies inside six feet on the 15th, 17th and 18th holes, ironically finding his only par of the stretch at the par-5 16th. He enters the final round a 6-under 210. |

O'Hair barely breaks 80 in Heritage opener | 04/18/2013 1:59 PM

Sean O'Hair settled for an 8-over-par 40-39=79 in his opening round of the RBC Heritage.

Wow. If his back was feeling better, his scorecard didn't reflect it. A back injury forced him out of the SHO three weeks ago. Today he hit only six greens in regulation and missed four putts from inside 10 feet. He totaled eight bogeys, including a 19'1" conversion at the par-4 eighth hole where his approach found the water. O'Hair also circled two birdies -- both on par 5s -- the second of which disappeared from six yards off the green at 15. |

We last saw O'Hair at Redstone. He withdrew during his second round on March 29 with a back injury. He's 4-for-9 on the season with a pair of top 20s, but his only top 65 in five tries at Harbour Town is a solo seventh in 2007. It's probably wise to give him a week to shed some rust and limber up before considering him in weekly games. |

Uh-oh. This is never good. He flew his approach at the par-4 sixth green before walking off. He was 6-over-par on the round with three bogeys and a triple at the par-4 fifth. O'Hair was 10-over through 23 complete. This is his second withdrawal during a tournament this season. He pulled out of the Northern Trust after an opening 83, but an explanation was not released. He has not qualified for the Masters, so if he doesn't return at next week's Valero Texas Open, we won't see him again for a minimum of three weeks. |

Sean O'Hair continues to flash his old form | 03/21/2013 1:55 PM

Sean O'Hair opened the Arnold Palmer Invitational with a 3-under-par 33-36=69, finishing four strokes off the clubhouse lead.

Impact
O'Hair started the year with three missed cut, but he's posted a pair of top 20s since. He's not putting four rounds together but he's going low when everything comes together, and that's more than many of his brethren can say. Today at Bay Hill, he hit just 10 greens in regulation and swallowed three bogeys, but he circled four birdies and an eagle. All of his birdies measured longer than 14 feet. The set included a zero-putt version from six yards just off the green at 2 and respective conversions of 28 feet and 22'4" at the fifth and 12th holes. He patiently kept his round together with three consecutive par saves between eight and 10 feet beginning at the seventh hole. |

Late birdie run buoys O'Hair in second round | 03/01/2013 6:05 PM

Sean O'Hair reached the midpoint of The Honda Classic in 6-under-par 134 following a 2-under 34-34=68 in his second round.

Impact
O'Hair hit 12 greens today and rolled in a birdie from 13'3" at the third hole but he sat 1-over on the round with five holes to play. No problem. He promptly birdied 14, 15 and 16, the last of which with a hole-out from eight yards off the green. Maintaining the momentum despite failing to find the green at the par-4 17th with his approach, he'd convert a par save from 11'3". He's three strokes back of the 36-hole clubhouse lead. |

Last time we saw the four-time PGA TOUR winner, he called it quits after an opening 83 at Riviera two weeks ago. What a difference time can make. In addition to four birdies, he got up and down seven times. The most notable par save measured 13'10" at No. 14. He's cashed in his last two starts at PGA National but had broken 70 just once in eight rounds (69, second round, 2012). |

We still don't know why O'Hair withdrew from the Northern Trust Open after one round, but you can take infer the obvious after he opened with an 83. He's just 1-for-5 on the young season with a T16 at Pebble Beach. Until he exhibits some consistency, which is usually one of his assets, steer clear of the 30-year-old four-time PGA TOUR winner. |

He has missed each of his first two cuts of 2013, failing to shoot a round in the 60s in his first five tries. While he's played this week's venue seven times, he's made just four cuts and owns a lone top 25. It came in 2009 in the form of a T25. Keep O'Hair on your bench this week. |
