| Assets: | An unspectacular but efficient mind player who gets the job done. Always in control of his emotions. Possesses a solid swing and rarely deviates from his strategic game plan. Has a great short game and knows how to score. |
| Flaws: | He's very short from the tee by PGA Tour standards and not much of a scrambler. Plays an ultra-conservative game that limits his chances of going real low. Could gamble a little more on occasions. |
| Career Potential: | Excellent player and regular contender. |

Choi's 2011 PLAYERS win still his only top 10 | 05/06/2013 10:00 PM
News
K.J. Choi returns to TPC Sawgrass for THE PLAYERS, where he hoisted the hardware in 2011.
PGATOUR.com
Impact
Despite teeing it up 11 times in this event, the win remains Choi's only top-10 finish. Having made nine (of 12) cuts with two top 10s and four top 25s to date, his 2013 season is trending much better than 2012. The key to the turnaround is the flat stick. He ranked 170th in strokes gained in 2012, but has improved to 31st this season. |

News
K.J. Choi chased his opening 70 at the Masters with a 1-under-par 37-34=71 in his second round, arriving at the midpoint in 3-under 141, two strokes back of the 36-hole clubhouse co-leaders.

Impact
The South Korean hit just 10 greens in regulation for the second consecutive day at Augusta National, but he cleaned up relatively well, taking 26 putts and limiting the negative to three bogeys. He secured a red number thanks to four birdies, including at the par-5 second and 13th holes. |

Impact
This was probably as low as the South Korean could have gone today. Choi hit just 10 greens in regulation and took 27 putts, but still managed to hole six birdies to offset four bogeys, one of which on the par-5 15th. He signed his card sitting four stroke off the clubhouse lead. |

News

Impact
While it is likely that Choi added this week to the schedule to prepare for the Masters, he almost walked out of TPC San Antonio with a win. In the final round, he started his round with a blemish-free 4-under run through his first four holes before finally surrendering his only bogey of the day with a 6'2" par miss on the par-4 12th. He would hop on the par train for the next five holes, then end his day with a birdie at 18. He should be ripe for a nice week at Augusta National. |

News
K.J. Choi settled for and even-par 37-35=72 in the third round of the Valero Texas Open and will enter the final round at 5-under 211.
Rotoworld.com
Impact
Choi's season has included just one top 10, coming at Torrey Pines in the form of a T9 in his year's second event. With a trip to Augusta National on the immediate horizon, the success he's enjoying at TPC San Antonio should be a confidence boost at a needed time. On what was a windy third round, he managed to avoid any big mistakes and added a his third birdie of the round from 11'6" on the par-5 18th to equalize his round. |

News

Impact
Choi hit the ground running today, converting an eagle from 16'4" at the par-5 first hole. He'd go on to add four birdies, the longest of which measuring 14'10" at 15, to offset a pair of bogeys. It was a great effort given he hit only 10 greens in regulation. |

News
K.J. Choi carded a 2-under-par 32-37=69 in his opening round of the Tampa Bay Championship.

Impact
Choi won this tournament twice (2002, 2006) before it joined the Florida Swing in March of 2007, so he likely has good vibes upon returning every year. He hit 15 greens in regulation at Copperhead today and converted four birdies, the longest of which from 31'11" at the par-4 16th hole, his seventh of the loop. He also incurred a pair of bogeys, the second of which of the three-putt variety from 32 feet at the par-4 sixth. He signed his card sitting one shot back of the early clubhouse lead. |

K.J. Choi a past winner at Copperhead Course | 03/11/2013 10:38 PM
News
K.J. Choi returns to the site of his second PGA TOUR win for this week's Tampa Bay Classic.
PGATOUR.com
Impact
Choi first hoisted the trophy in the 2002 edition back when the tournament was played in the Fall, and did so again on the Copperhead Course in 2006. He almost made it a charmed three times, coming up just short as the runner-up in 2010. His form has been lacking in comparison to what we grew accustomed to in his prime, with just one top 10 this season, but he's made his last five cuts. If there is ever a course where he is a horse, this is it. |

Impact
Choi's last top 10 came at the WGC-Bridgestone last year. It was a wild round, taking three birdies and an eagle to erase his five bogeys. He is among many in the field who will make the quick trip to Arizona for the Waste Management Phoenix Open. |

Choi makes way back up Farmers leaderboard | 01/27/2013 5:36 PM
News
K.J. Choi signed for a 1-under-par 34-37=71 in the third round of the Farmers Insurance Open to reach the 54-hole mark at 7-under 209.
Rotoworld.com
Impact
After sharing the 18-hole lead with Brandt Snedeker, both dropped down the leaderboard in the second round only to bounce back to their current shared standing. Choi circled four birdies and squared three bogeys, watching three of those birdies fall from outside of eight feet. If he keeps that up and scrambles a little better, this could be a signature moment in a bounce-back 2013 for the South Korean. |

Choi forfeits the lead in the second round | 01/25/2013 5:58 PM
News
Overnight co-leader K.J. Choi settled for a 1-over-par 36-37=73 at Torrey Pines North in his second round of the Farmers Insurance Open.
Rotoworld.com
Impact
In cool, wet conditions, Choi mustered only two birdies at the easier of the two tracks in play, but he wiped them away with three bogeys. At the time he signed his card today, he shared the 36-hole clubhouse lead, but by the time the entire field reaches the midpoint, it's possible that he won't sit inside the top 10 on the leaderboard. |

Choi drops 8 birdies to co-lead the Farmers | 01/24/2013 7:39 PM
News
K.J. Choi enjoyed a 7-under-par 32-33=65 at Torrey Pines South in his opening round of the Farmers Insurance, good for a share of the clubhouse lead.
Rotoworld.com
Impact
Since fellow co-leader, Brandt Snedeker, played the easier North today, it's fair to say that Choi has the inside track for the moment. The South Korean hit 14 greens in regulation and buried eight birdies, all from inside 10 feet. |
