Adam Scott followed his opening 69 at THE PLAYERS with a 4-under-par 35-33=68 to hit the midpoint in 7-under 137 and sit four strokes off the 36-hole lead.
He added 15 greens in regulation today to total 31 for the week thus far. That led the field when he signed his card. However, he's also split 23 (of 28) fairways, which ranks his T3. His average distance of measured drives (308.1) places him second. So, that he's only 7-under is mildly disappointing. He bracketed today's set of six birdies with bogeys at 2 and 18. While an 11-footer for birdie drew applause at the par-3 17th, his highlighted was a beaut of a birdie from 30'4" down the slope at the par-4 fourth.

This is Scott's first start since winning the Masters four weeks ago. He split 12 (of 14) fairways and hit 16 greens in regulation today, but he holed just four birdies to wipe off one bogey. The Aussie whiffed on four putts measuring eight feet and shorter. He signed his card sitting six strokes off the clubhouse lead.

Adam Scott has taken three weeks off since his victory at Augusta National, but is back in the saddle to try and tackle THE PLAYERS once again.
The Aussie is the 2004 champion at TPC Sawgrass, which stands as the first of three top 10s. Given his schedule the last few years has been on the light side, don't expect the extended break to do anything other than recharge his batteries for the rest of the season.

Adam Scott fired a 3-under-par 36-33=69 in the final round of the Masters and defeated Angel Cabrera on the second playoff hole to claim his first major championship and the first green jacket for Australia.
Scott's only blemish of the day was a bogey at the opening hole, and he would bounce back with a lengthy birdie at the par-4 third. He added birdies on the par-5 13th and par-5 15th, then dropped a bomb for birdie on the par-4 18th that he thought was the winner, posting 9-under 69-72-69-69=279. He then watched Cabrera knock it stiff on the 18th in the final pairing and tap in for birdie to force the playoff. After matching pars at the 18th on the first playoff hole, both competitors found the 10th green in regulation and were faced with mid-range birdie attempts. Cabrera putted first and left his on the top edge for an easy par. Scott, not known for his putting prowess, found the bottom of the cup and the celebration began. Due to his world golf ranking, Scott was already exempt into virtually every tournament anyway but will enjoy a five-year exemption into all of the majors and a lifetime spot in the Masters.

He is one of several contenders with a chance to become the first Australian to don a green jacket. Greg Norman famously had his share of near misses. Scott was efficient, circling his only birdie on the front nine at the par-4 third to go with eight pars. His only blemish was a three-putt bogey at the par-4 10th from well above the hole, but he bounced back to secure birdies at both par 5s on the back, as well as the par-4 17th. After a heartbreaking loss to Ernie Els at the 2012 Open Championship, Scott will try and be the feel-good winner tomorrow evening.

The Aussie isn't leading but he's in the hunt. He was 3-over with bogeys at 3, 4 and 5 before righting the ship. Scott picked off birdies at the par-4 seventh, 14th and 18th holes; nonetheless, it was a disappointing score given he hit 13 greens in regulation.

Adam Scott crafted a bogey-free, 5-under-par 33-33=66 in his second round of the Tampa Bay Championship to establish the 36-hole clubhouse lead at 6-under 136.
The Aussie rolled in five birdies today, including on each of the four par 5s. In addition to a conversion measuring 15'2" at the par-5 14th hole, he drilled a birdie at the par-3 fourth from 28'4". Scott hit 15 greens in regulation but still needed a pair of par attempts to drop in, both from 14'6" at holes 16 and 3, to maintain a spotless scorecard.

Adam Scott lit up TPC Blue Monster at Doral for a bogey-free 8-under-par 32-32=64 in the final round of the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship, becoming the first to post 14-under 274.
The Aussie's round was the lowest of the week, featuring eight birdies and 10 pars. After four bogeys on his first seven holes, his round took a special turn when he rattled off birdies on each of the first three holes to start the back nine. He add an eighth, and final birdie at the par-4 14th when he rolled in a 17'6" putt. Other than a chip in on the fourth, that was his longest birdie of the day. He now heads to Tampa Bay to try and tame The Snake Pit.

Adam Scott was eliminated 2-and-1 by Tim Clark in the Snead Bracket in the opening round of the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship.
This match rocked back and forth. They were all square through 15 holes before Scott lost consecutive holes with bogeys, the second of which sealing his fate in the tournament. Since going 3-1 in 2005 (at La Costa), Scott is 3-8 and hasn't advanced the second round. Meanwhile, Clark has reached the third round in his last two appearances but he hadn't competed since 2010. He'll face Thorbjorn Olesen on Friday.

Adam Scott managed a 1-under-par 35-35=70 in the final round of the Northern Trust Open to secure a top 10 in his first PGA TOUR start of the season.
The Aussie's round never strayed more than a stroke from par, despite a roller coaster that included four birdies and three bogeys as he wound his way through Riviera CC. If this week is any indication, it could be a nice season in a build up to the Presidents Cup. He will now head to Dove Mountain for the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship.

Adam Scott will say hello to the world for the first time in 2013 at the Northern Trust Open.
The Aussie collected a win in his first trip to Riviera CC in 2005. The event was shortened to 36 holes, rendering the title unofficial but the money real. He then backed that up with a runner-up in 2006. Since then, he's made three of four cuts but hasn't found another top 10.
