| Assets: | Has a solid short game and cashes in as much as he can on the greens with a soft putting stroke. Good wedge player from short distance who has the ability to post decent numbers. |
| Flaws: | Isn't a powerful hitter and possesses an average iron game. A very streaky performer that really needs to have all parts of his game clicking to contend. Doesn't trust his swing and skills enough. |
| Career Potential: | Middle-of-the-pack journeyman with occasional flashes. |

News
Fredrik Jacobson recorded an even-par 35-37=72 in his opening round of THE PLAYERS.
Rotoworld.com
Impact
This is Jacobson's first start since finishing T25 at the Masters. He's rested a hip injury in the interim. Today at TPC Sawgrass, he found only nine greens in regulation and traded four birdies with four bogeys. His par breakers included a hole-out from a greenside bunker at 12 and a conventional conversion from 10'6 at the first hole. He needs to shed the rust to extend his streak of seven consecutive top 25s. |

Jacobson among three added to the Masters | 03/31/2013 9:58 PM
News
Fredrik Jacobson sits 47th in the latest Official World Golf Ranking, good enough to earn a trip to next week's Masters.
Rotoworld.com
Impact
The Swede pulled out of the Shell Houston Open, perhaps to avoid missing the cut and threatening a berth into the season's first major. To wit, Geoff Ogilvy started the week sitting 50th in the OWGR, failed to cash at Redstone, and tumbled to 55th. The top 50 in the OWGR tonight earn an exemption. Jacobson will be making his fourth trip to the Masters. Two others previous ineligible secured tee times at Augusta National via the updated OWGR -- Henrik Stenson (42nd) and Richard Sterne (49th). Stenson has competed in the last seven editions of the Masters. Sterne will be making his third appearance; he didn't qualify for the last three. |

Jacobson hasn't competed since finishing T16 at the WGC-Cadillac. He's currently 46th in the Official World Golf Ranking. The top 50 at the conclusion of golf this coming weekend earn berths into the Masters. The Swede is all but a lock for one of those exemptions. |

Jacobson gives ground in WGC third round | 03/09/2013 5:39 PM
News
Fredrik Jacobson settled for a 1-under-par 35-36=71 in the third round of the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship to inch up to 10-under 206.
Rotoworld.com
Impact
After an opening eagle from 15'2", it looked like Jacobson would take it low and challenge the top of the leaderboard. Considering he played the final 17 holes in 1-over, with three bogeys and two birdies, he did not accomplish that task. Still, he can keep his strong start to 2013 intact with a solid final round. |

After rolling in s par save from 20'10" at the seventh hole, he converted an eagle from 16'8" at the par-5 eighth. Then, on the heels of a standard two-putt par at the par-3 ninth, he buried his second eagle, this time from just 10'11" at the par-5 11th. In his debut at this event last year, he didn't break 71. |

Perhaps the pivotal moment of the match came on the par-4 15th. Garrigus stepped onto the tee with a 1up lead, then smashed his driver onto the green and six feet from the hole for an eventually conceded eagle winner. |

News
Fredrik Jacobson upended Ernie Els 1 up in their opening match in the Hogan Bracket at the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship.

Impact
Both golfers shot 2-over-par over 18 holes, so it was poetic that Jacobson polished off his victory with a par at the par-4 18th hole. Els held an early lead that Jacobson squared by the eighth hole. The Swede wouldn't trail the rest of the way. He'll wipe the slate clean and start anew versus Marcus Fraser in Friday's second round. |

Jacobson falls one putt short of NTO playoff | 02/17/2013 7:44 PM
News
Fredrik Jacobson thrilled the crowd in the final round of the Northern Trust Open with his 2-under-par 33-36=69, but came up one short shy of joining a playoff with his 10-under 274 tally.
WorldGolfChampionships.com
Impact
Jacobson lived up to his multiple nicknames highlighting his penchant for short-game magic several times in the final round. None was more dramatic than his par save on the par-3 14th, escaping a sure bogey with a chip-in par. He stood over a 4'3" par attempt on the 18th that would have gotten him into a playoff with Charlie Beljan and John Merrick, but failed to convert. He now moves on to Dove Mountain for the WGC-Accenture Match Play. |

Fredrik Jacobson surrendered his co-lead at the Northern Trust Open thanks to a 1-over-par 37-35=72, but finds himself tied for fifth at 8-under 205.
Rotoworld.com
Impact
The Swedish Seve made 14 pars at Riviera CC, but the drama came at the par-4 fifth. After four pars to open, his 3-wood ran through the fairway and into the deep rough. It was such a bad lie, the he whiffed in his first attempt to advance the ball eventually leading to a double bogey. Birdies on the 10th and 11th holes squared his round, but he gave back one more at the par-5 17th despite a fairway approach from 107 yards. |

Impact
The scorecard looks a lot better than he played tee to green today. Jacobson split only eight (of 14) fairways and hit just 11 greens in regulation but limited the damage to one bogey (at the par-3 fourth hole). His most notable par save was also his longest conversion of the day, a 10-yard hole-out from off the green at 2. Included in his set of four birdies were respective conversions from 10'3" and 20 feet at Nos. 11 and 7. |

Impact
The Junkman started on fire, circling six birdies in his first 13 holes. In a fashion fitting his nickname, two came by virtue of putts longer than 30 feet and his two on the par-3 12th was a hole-out from 18 yards. He would finally stall, squaring a bogey on the 15th and surrounding it with four pars on the way to the clubhouse. He is next scheduled to tee it up at the Northern Trust Open. |

His longest birdies disappeared from 10'7" at the 13th hole and 12'8" at 3, but he also recorded a zero-putt par save from five yards off the green at the difficult par-5 14th hole. Jacobson will conclude his rotation at Monterey Peninsula Country Club's Shore Course on Saturday. |

Jacobson ready to kick off 2013 in the desert | 01/29/2013 11:27 PM
News
Fredrik Jacobson will get his 2013 season underway at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
PGATOUR.com
Impact
In seven previous trips to TPC Scottsdale, the Swede has seen the weekend six times including one top 10. Considering that top ten was a share of ninth in his first trip, back in 2004, and his most recent venture to the desert was a missed cut, it might be wise to sit this one out. There will be other spots to use him up later in the season. |
