| Assets: | Very solid ball striker. Puts the ball in play and gives himself plenty of birdie opportunities with a sharp iron game. Limits the mistakes and manages himself well on the course. |
| Flaws: | A shaky putting stroke. Is a very conservative putter, which leads to many three-putt greens. Not a great finisher when in the hunt. Needs to convince himself he has the game compete. |
| Career Potential: | Good journeyman player with upside. |

Dufner's struggles continues on the greens | 05/16/2013 4:49 PM
News
Jason Dufner opened his title defense of the HP Byron Nelson Championship with an even-par 37-33=70.
Rotoworld.com
Impact
He split only five (of 14) fairways but found 13 greens in regulation at TPC Four Season today. Alas, he couldn't overcome four bogeys -- all on par 5s -- even with a hole-out for eagle from 129 yards at the par-4 first hole to begin his second nine. Dufner missed four putts inside 10 feet and signed his card with a strokes gained-putting split hovering around -2.000. |

Dufner chases first top 10 in HPBNC defense | 05/14/2013 11:37 PM
News
Jason Dufner will defend his title at the HP Byron Nelson Championship this week.
PGATOUR.com
Impact
It's been a rough ride for Dufner in 2013, still in search of his first top 10. His win in 2012 was not without trend, as he shared eighth in 2012. We do have a little past history in the books when it comes to his defense of titles, as he shared 42nd in New Orleans three weeks ago. While he's a steady play in several formats, he's probably not one-and-done material quite yet. |

Dufner five back at midpoint of THE PLAYERS | 05/10/2013 3:43 PM
News
Jason Dufner sits 6-under-par 71-67=138 through two rounds of THE PLAYERS, five strokes adrift of the 36-hole clubhouse lead.
PGATOUR.com
Impact
Dufner is still chasing his first top 10 on the PGA TOUR this season. Thus far at TPC Sawgrass, he's hit 26 greens in regulation and circled eight birdies to offset four bogeys. However, his highlight was an eagle-2 at the par-4 18th hole on Thursday. Standing near the water on the left side of the fairway, he drew an iron in from 158 yards. The ball landed on the green, bounced a couple of times and then took the right-to-left break before disappearing. It was just the third eagle on the hole in tournament history. |

PGA TOUR Media on Twitter
Impact
PGA TOUR Media on Twitter is reporting that exactly one inch of rain fell on TPC Louisiana. If the resumption of play stays on schedule, the delay will have lasted three hours and seven minutes. The defending champion, Jason Dufner, can be counted as one of those happy for the delay. He was 2-over-par for his round through eight holes and has fallen all the way into a tie for 47th. |

News
Jason Dufner opened his title defense of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans with a 2-under-par 35-35=70.
Rotoworld.com
Impact
Dufner hit 12 greens in regulation and swallowed just one bogey, but he wasn't sharp enough with his irons on a day when he should have been. With receptive greens and ball in hand, he circled just three birdies, including conversions of 11'3" and 18'10" at the seventh and 16th holes, respectively. He missed two attempt inside 10 feet, including a run at par from just 45 inches at the par-3 fourth holes. He offset that, however, with a par save from 14 feet at 15. Dufner signed his card sitting six strokes back of the clubhouse lead. |

Dufner chasing first top 10 in Zurich defense | 04/23/2013 10:55 PM
News
Jason Dufner returns to TPC Louisiana to defend his Zurich Classic of New Orleans title, also chasing his season's first top 10.
PGATOUR.com
Impact
Dufner's win at last season's event wasn't a surprise when you factored in his course history, but he only had one top 10 on the ledger this time last season. That was a T8 at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. That could mean gamers need to lean more on his history and less on his form this week, but it's hard for anyone to be too excited about his current pace. |

Dufner goes sub-70 in second round of Masters | 04/12/2013 4:18 PM
News
Jason Dufner carded a 3-under-par 34-35=69 in his second round of the Masters to reach the midpoint in 3-under 141, two strokes back of the 36-hole clubhouse lead.

Impact
Dufner shared the 36-hole lead with Fred Couples a year ago before settling for a tie for 24th place with a pair of 75s on the weekend. Thus far this week, he's hit 26 greens in regulation and taken 59 putts. He's also offset eight bogeys with 11 birdies, seven of which in today's lap of Augusta National. In fact, he's logged a birdie or a bogey on every hole but the par-4 fifth and par-3 sixth, chalking up pars on each in both rounds. He's played the par 5s in 4-under with five birdies and a bogey. At the time he signed his card, he shared low round of the day with Angel Cabrera and Nick Watney. |

Jason Dufner spun a 5-under-par 33-33=66 in his second round of the Tampa Bay Championship to reach the halfway point in 5-under 137, one back of the 36-hole clubhouse lead.
Rotoworld.com
Impact
He's starting to find a groove. Dufner is coming off a PGA TOUR season-best T12 at the WGC-Cadillac. Today at Copperhead, he hit just 11 greens in regulation but limited the damage to one bogey when he missed a 50-inch par save at the par-4 16th hole. But he erased it with six birdies, including a pair from just beyond 10 feet. His longest conversion of the day was his last, a par attempt that fell in from 11'5" at 18. |

News
Jason Dufner turned in a bogey-free 3-under-par 34-35=69 in the third round of the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship to reach the final round at 9-under 207.

Impact
The highlight of his round was a birdie at the difficult par-4 18th. After finding the right rough with his approach, he managed to chip in from 10 yards for an unlikely birdie on one of Doral's toughest holes. After leaking some oil of late, it appears that Dufner has started to tighten up his game just in time for the upcoming majors. |

Sterne is fresh off a victory in challenging conditions in South Africa, but he overcame the travel and time change to secure his first victory in three appearances in this event. Dufner played 18 holes in 2-over-par to Sterne's 1-over, yet the South African held a 4-up lead after 11 holes. Dufner chipped away with birdie wins at 12 and 16 as well as a par win at 14, but he ran out of holes. Sterne will square off against defending champion Hunter Mahan in Friday's second round. |

After sitting bogey-free 3-under after 11 holes of his round today, he crawled home in 3-over. He entered the tournament leading the PGA TOUR in consecutive cuts made streak at 23. Ian Poulter now assumes the top spot with 16. |

The opening round of the Hyundai Tournament of Champions has been delayed until Sunday.

Impact
After a trio of one-hour delays this morning due to gusty winds, PGA TOUR officials made the decision at about 10:15 a.m. local time to bang the entire day. Jason Dufner and Rickie Fowler will remain on hold to begin the tournament on the first tee on Sunday morning. As was the goal today, the objective for Sunday will be to play 36 holes with the first ball aloft at 7:10 a.m. local time. |

Dufner's two wins earn first Kapalua tee time | 01/01/2013 10:19 PM
News
Jason Dufner earned a tee time at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions with his win at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and prevented Dicky Pride from entry when he topped him at the HP Byron Nelson Championship.

Impact
It's normally not wise to back a first timer in this event, but Dufner warrants consideration. Finishing 2012 third in the all-around ranking, it's hard to envision a course where he wouldn't stand a chance. He has his work cut out for him if he hopes to back up his career year of 2012. |
