| Assets: | Possesses a very sound all-around game and one of the best short games in the business. A terrific putter, especially from short range, and always seems to find a way to score well. |
| Flaws: | Not a long or accurate driver of the golf ball. Could also benefit from a more precise long-iron game to leviate some pressure from short game and create more birdie opportunities. |
| Career Potential: | Underrated but elite player. Among the best in the business. |

Donald posts Heritage lead at 7-under; waits | 04/21/2013 4:48 PM
News

PGATOUR.com
Impact
Donald's 7-under 277 trails in real time, but the final pairings still have a number of difficult holes to navigate on a blustery day at Harbour Town. He opened on fire, circling four birdies on his opening six holes in a blemish-free outward nine. After making the turn, he squared his first bogey of the day par-4 10th, but bounced back with a 5'2" birdie at the 11th. He suffered sloppy bogeys on 13 and 15, then put his approach on the par-4 18th from 200 yards to 12'11" but couldn't convert the birdie. We will not see him in the upcoming Zurich Classic of New Orleans. |

News

Impact
Donald's scorecard was without much drama, but he needed a 33'7" putt to drop for par on the par-4 12th to finish his weekend without a blemish. He had a look from 12'8" to take it one deeper on the 18th, but failed to convert. Though he is back in form, he will skip the upcoming Arnold Palmer Invitational. |

News

Rotoworld.com
Impact
Donald circled four birdies, with three of those dropping from outside of 13 feet. Ironically, he failed to convert a birdie on any of the four par 5s, instead making up ground on some of the more difficult holes. At 4-under 209, he will try and become the first to successfully defend a championship in the history of this event in Sunday's final round. |

Impact
It wasn't a terrible day but it ended that way. After a birdie at the par-5 fifth hole -- his 14th of the round -- he sat bogey-free 4-under. He then closed bogey-par-bogey-bogey, failing to get up and down for par en route to all three of those bogeys. Overall, he hit 13 greens in regulation at Copperhead. His longest conversions was a mere 11'9" for birdie at the par-5 14th hole. It was the first of three birdies on par 5s today. |

News

PGATOUR.com
Impact
Donald's 2013 season hasn't been extraordinary, but he's gotten it off to a modest start with two top 20s. The biggest difference could be his trend coming out of Doral. Last week he finished in a tie for 43rd whereas he came into his win at the Copperhead Course off of a T6 last time around. |

This was all Piercy all day. They played only 12 holes but Piercy shot bogey-free 7-under-par that included and eagle-2 at the fifth hole. He picked off wins at 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9 and 12. Donald managed to score just 2-over for the same stretch and failed to win a single hole. He's the third No. 1 seed to be eliminated this week. Piercy flies into the third round to fave the winner of Steve Stricker v. Nick Watney. |

Donald survives first-round battle with Siem | 02/21/2013 9:15 PM
News
Luke Donald posted a 1-up victory over Marcel Siem in the Snead Bracket in the opening round of the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship.
Rotoworld.com
Impact
In his title defense a year ago, Donald was eliminated in the first round, so he was seeking a bit of redemption today. Despite being the top seed in his quadrant, he was tested by Siem, who was making his debut in the tournament. Both held 1-up leads during the course of the match but it was Donald's birdie-3 at the 18th hole that ended it. The Englishman will face another first-timer in Scott Piercy on Friday. |

Rotoworld.com
Impact
Donald never could get much going. It seemed like every time he would start to put something together, he would stub his toe. He opened with a birdie at the first, but gave back bogeys on the second, fourth and seventh holes before making the turn. He added his second and third birdies on the 10th and 11th holes, but as scripted he suffered a bogey on the 12th. A birdie at 13 equalized his round and a final birdie at the par-3 16th allowed him to end the day under par. Twice finishing in the top three in this event, Donald will try and claw his way further up the leaderboard in the final round. |

First peek at Donald to come at Riviera CC | 02/12/2013 10:51 PM
News
Luke Donald will make his first start of 2013 at this week's Northern Trust Open.
PGATOUR.com
Impact
Donald looks to get his year kicked off on a course where he has twice finished inside the top three. In 11 starts, he's made seven cuts. Known for accuracy over length and solid irons, he won't overpower Riviera CC but certainly can strike it well enough to avoid trouble and circle a few birdies along the way. |
