ESPN Chicago says there's a "very good chance" Carlos Boozer will be amnestied in the summer of 2014.
The Bulls won't amnesty Boozer this summer, simply because he played so well in 2012-13. He averaged 16.2 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists while missing just three games and serving as the team's leader. But by the time the 2014-15 season rolls around, he'll be owed $16.8 million and will be 33 years old. Taj Gibson and his $30 million contract are the future for the Bulls at power forward.

Jimmy Butler is penciled in as the Bulls' starting shooting guard in 2013-14.
Nate Robinson, Marco Belinelli and Richard Hamilton are all expected to move on. That leaves the Bulls with a projected starting five of Derrick Rose, Butler, Luol Deng, Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah. Owners shouldn't be expecting Butler to reach the offensive numbers he did while playing without both Rose and Deng in the playoffs, but he'll still be firmly on the fantasy radar. Butler averaged 1.8 steals and 1.1 3-pointers in 20 regular-season starts last season.

The Celtics will not pursue Tom Thibodeau if Doc Rivers leaves the team, a source told the Chicago Sun-Times.
We're not really sure where this came from since it was never a scenario on the table. Thibodeau signed a four-year extension with the Bulls earlier in the season and is going nowhere.
