An NBA GM said that Andrew Bynum won't get more than a one-year deal.
This isn't exactly earth-shattering news on Bynum and conventional wisdom would suggest that most teams would be extremely apprehensive to sign him to a multi-year contract. He missed every game this year and over the previous five seasons, Bynum missed 26.0 games per season. A 25-year-old center already having serious durability issues is going to make it tough on his agent to get leverage in contract negotiations.

League sources tell CBS Sports' Ken Berger the 76ers will interview lead assistant Michael Curry for their head-coaching vacancy next week.
Curry's been endorsed by both Jrue Holiday and Evan Turner as their preferred choice to replace Doug Collins, but that was before the 76ers hired Sam Hinkie as general manager. Hinkie has made it clear he's not beholden to any of the Sixers' old guard -- be it coaches or players -- so we expect Curry to be just one of several candidates Hinkie meets with in the coming days.

Sixers GM Sam Hinkie hinted that the team could be players in the 2014 free agent class rather than the coming offseason.
"If you go down that path (looking to the future), you have to put yourself in a position to be competitive (in the meantime)," Hinkie said. "We'll have to be really thoughtful about all the options." It's possible the Sixers make a move during the 2013 offseason, but if the team waits to make a real splash until the 2014 offseason, Philadelphia could be approximately $30 million under the cap.
