Brian Roberts' contract option for next season could be determined by Tuesday's NBA draft lottery.
Several mock drafts have the Pelicans eyeing Trey Burke, and the Pelicans have yet to make a determination on Roberts' status with the team for next year. "Right now I'm just trying to see how things play out," he said. "I haven't talked to coach or management about that kind of stuff as of yet. But I'm pretty confident something an be worked out." GM Dell Demps previously said the team was "thrilled" with Roberts' progress.

A "number of GM's" told ESPN's Chad Ford that Victor Oladipo was their "favorite player in the draft."
Oladipo is a freak athlete. "Athletically, he's so gifted," one GM said. "And he combines that with his hard work both in the game and in practice. He keeps working on his game and getting better." Ford "wouldn't be surprised" if Oladipo winds up at No. 1 or No. 2 on "a number of boards" when it's all said and done, and it looks like Oladipo's stock is on the rise before the draft lottery on Tuesday.

As expected. Considering STAT sat out for more than two months after a second knee surgery this season and returned to a very limited role in the playoffs, we never expected him to be fully healthy this year. He'll have the offseason to rest and rehab, but there's a very real chance he becomes the highest-paid role player in recent history given his health woes and contract situation.

Tyson Chandler took a subtle jab at the Knicks coaching staff at his exit interview, saying he would "like for us to develop some consistency with the offensive game plan."
"Right now, we're a jump-shooting team. I would like us to have a free-flowing offense that we all can be comfortable with," Chandler said. "Everybody to a man is going to have to come back better, including the coaches," he added. Chandler was not himself prior to the Knicks season ending, but it's clear he seems some obvious areas where the team can improve on the offensive end.

Carmelo Anthony said it's "too early" to think about whether or not he'll opt out of his contract after the 2013/14 season.
Anthony can opt out and become an unrestricted free agent, but the expectation is that if he does do that, it will be in order for him to sign a long-term deal with the Knicks. "I'm going to be here for many years," Carmelo said. "I can't even think about that right now. That would be selfish on my part to even sit back and think about the situation like that."
