|Assets:||A fantastic pure scorer with a center's length. Hits from all over the offensive zone. Rarely misses a free throw. Deceptively strong driving to the hoop and can leap over post players. A good rebounder and defender, and an improving passer. Team-first. Has the drive, focus, work ethic, and clutch ability of a true go-to guy.|
|Flaws:||Needs more muscle on his frame considering all the minutes he plays and the contact he draws. Could be better at protecting the ball during his dribble (as he can get highly turnover-prone).|

Kevin Durant can't buy a shot in Game 5 loss | 05/16/2013 12:45 AM
NewsKevin Durant hit just 5-of-21 shots, was 0-for-4 from downtown and 11-of-15 from the line to finish with 21 points, eight rebounds, six assists, two blocks and seven turnovers in Wednesday's Game 5 elimination loss to the Grizzlies.
ImpactThis was KD's worst shooting night of the season, as he went 1-on-5 all night against a tough Grizzlies' defense. Durant got himself wide open for a potential game-tying shot at the end, but wasn't even close with the attempt. Scott Brooks will catch a lot of heat for his poor game plan (Durant vs. the Grizzlies), but this would have likely been a much different series had Russell Westbrook not blown out his knee. Serge Ibaka had 17 points, eight boards and three blocks in the loss, while Reggie Jackson had 16 points, nine boards, five assists and a huge 3-pointer in the loss.
Kevin Durant struggling in the clutch now | 05/15/2013 9:31 AM
NewsKevin Durant is struggling in the fourth quarter and overtime over the last two games, shooting just 3-of-17 from the field.
ImpactDurant is being asked to do everything and he's looking like a player who runs out of gas at the finish line over the last couple of contests. Without Russell Westbrook, Durant will continue to shoulder a heavy load for the Thunder, and the only way the team will keep their season alive is if someone (anyone) can consistently assist Durant on the offensive end.
Kevin Durant's 27 not enough, OKC down 3-1 | 05/14/2013 12:50 AM
NewsKevin Durant scored 27 points on 10-of-27 shooting during Game 4's loss in Memphis, adding seven boards, seven assists, one steal, one block and five 3-pointers in 48 minutes.
ImpactDurant hit a big shot with six seconds left to get the game to overtime, but the Thunder totally ran out of gas in the extra frame. OKC played a solid game and actually won the battle on the glass and limited Memphis to 40.4 percent shooting. Serge Ibaka had a great game, scoring 17 points with 14 boards, one assist, three blocks and one 3-pointer.
Kevin Durant thinks he can do a lot more | 05/13/2013 9:30 AM
NewsKevin Durant said he "can do a lot more" when asked about his play in the second round.
ImpactDurant is doing everything for the Thunder, but he's demanding more from himself. "It's always things you can do more. I talk to one of my good friends and he said no matter how good you're playing you can always do more," he said. Durant has been electric vs. the Grizzlies and is leading his team in points, rebounds, assists and steals in the postseason, but he can't do it all on his own.
Kevin Durant's 36-11-9 not enough in Gm 2 | 05/08/2013 12:50 AM
NewsKevin Durant hit 11-of-21 shots, 11-of-12 free throws and three 3-pointers on his way to 36 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists, a steal and a block, just missing a triple-double in Tuesday's Game 2 home loss to the Grizzlies.
ImpactThe series is now tied 1-1 and the Thunder will head to Memphis on Saturday as they'll try to reclaim home-court advantage. Durant, as usual, didn't get much help in this one, although Derek Fisher exploded for 19 points and four 3-pointers, Serge Ibaka had 11 points, five boards and three blocks, and Reggie Jackson, filling in for Russell Westbrook, added 10 points, five rebounds and two assists in the 99-93 loss. The Thunder were outscored 30-19 in the fourth quarter, as Durant simply couldn't get many open looks late thanks to the defense of Tony Allen and company.
Durant finishes strong for 35 points in win | 05/05/2013 4:31 PM
NewsKevin Durant was a one-man wrecking crew in Sunday's 93-91 win over the Grizzlies with 35 points, 15 boards, six assist, one steal and two blocks in 44 minutes.
ImpactKD scored 12 of his points in the final eight minutes of the game and he put the team on his back. "I just gotta get it," Durant said in the post-game interview on ABC and he's right. His shots per game have jumped up to 23.6 attempts per game since Russell Westbrook went down, which is well above his regular-season average of 17.7 per game. He's going to be busy against Memphis' tough defense in this series.
Durant, Thunder put away Rockets...finally | 05/04/2013 12:40 AM
NewsKevin Durant scored 27 points on 11-of-23 shooting with eight rebounds, six assists, two steals and a block as the Thunder eliminated the Rockets in Game 6 on Friday.
ImpactIt took them long enough. Even without Russell Westbrook they have the second best player in the NBA in Durant and a Defensive Player of the Year candidate in Serge Ibaka, but rigid and misguided coaching from Scott Brooks yet again made this a tight series. Ibaka hit just 4-of-13 shots for 10 points with seven boards and two blocks, while Reggie Jackson filled in admirably with 17 points, seven rebounds and eight assists. If there is a silver lining for Thunder fans -- Kendrick Perkins was benched and Nick Collison got on the floor.
Kevin Durant's 36 not enough for Thunder | 05/02/2013 12:39 AM
NewsKevin Durant hit 11-of-23 shots and 1-of-8 free throws for 36 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, a steal and a block in Wednesday's 107-100 home loss to the Rockets.
ImpactThe Thunder are still in control of this series with a 3-2 lead, but didn't look good tonight. Outside of Durant, and a late explosion from Reggie Jackson, the Thunder looked lost for most of the night, and the OKC crowd never really got into the game. Jackson had 20 points, four boards, three assists, two blocks and two 3-pointers, but these were the only two players to really step up for a Thunder team that didn't look engaged for most of the night.
Kevin Durant confirms his wrist is just fine | 05/01/2013 12:05 PM
NewsKevin Durant confirmed that his wirst is fine.
Darnell Mayberry on Twitter
Impact"I'm good," he said. We didn't have Durant on the injury report because we thought it was such a minor concern, and he was never in danger of missing a chance to close out the first round in five games against Houston. Expect another big night for KD.
Kevin Durant scores 38 points on 16 FGAs | 04/30/2013 12:48 AM
NewsKevin Durant scored 38 points on 12-of-16 shooting to go with eight boards, six assists, one steal and one 3-pointer during Monday's Game 4 loss in Houston.
ImpactDurant's 38 points on 16 field goal attempts is remarkable and he's one of the most efficient players ever. This year he shot 51.0 percent from the field, 41.6 percent from 3-point land and 90.5 percent from the line to join Steve Nash, Larry Bird, Mark Price, Reggie Miller and Dirk Nowitzki as the only players in the 50-40-90 club. Durant and the Thunder will try again to close out the Rockets on Wednesday.
Kevin Durant expected to rest more in Game 4 | 04/29/2013 6:48 PM
NewsScott Brooks says he'll rest Kevin Durant more in Game 4.
ImpactDurant played all but 45 seconds of Saturday's Game 3, registering 41 points, 14 boards, four assists, two steals, one block and four 3-pointers in 47 minutes. The Thunder asked Durant to play point forward with Russell Westbrook (knee) sidelined, which means Durant should be putting up massive numbers across the board as long as the Thunder are still in the postseason.
Kevin Durant embracing point forward role | 04/29/2013 9:50 AM
NewsKevin Durant said he's having "fun" playing point forward without Russell Westbrook (knee) available.
Impact"I think it's fun," he said. "I feel like I'm playing street ball again, just having the ball in my hands all the time, handling the ball, initiating the offense." Durant's playmaking skills have improved this season, and he'll have to channel his inner point forward if the Thunder are going to reach the Finals without their starting point guard.
Durant plays 47 minutes, scores 41 in win | 04/28/2013 12:27 AM
NewsKevin Durant put the Thunder on his back in Saturday's 104-101 win over the Rockets with 41 points, 14 boards, four assists, two steals, one block and four 3-pointers in 47 minutes.
ImpactHe shot 13-of-30 from the field and 11-of-13 from the line to put the Thunder up 3-0. Durant took just 17.7 shots per game during the regular season and if the Thunder are going to have success this postseason, KD is going to have to be counted on heavily just like tonight. He tied his career playoff high in points and his team will look to finish the series on Monday.
Kevin Durant committed to being a playmaker | 04/20/2013 1:30 PM
NewsKevin Durant won't make any promises when it comes to shooting more in the postseason.
ImpactDurant entered the regular season vowing to become a better playmaker, especially after James Harden was traded to Houston. Durant struggled with turnover issues (3.5 per game) and attempted 1,433 shots, his lowest total since his second season in the NBA. Durant also shot 51 percent from the field and 41 percent from 3-point range and averaged 4.6 assists per game, all of which were career highs. Despite the turnover issues, Durant's well-rounded game makes an even more dangerous fantasy option and he remains the No. 2 player in the game behind LeBron James.
Kevin Durant out, Anthony wins scoring title | 04/17/2013 10:18 AM
NewsKevin Durant posted a note to his Instagram account saying he would be sitting out Wednesday's game against Milwaukee, meaning Carmelo Anthony will win the scoring title.
Kevin Durant on Instagram
ImpactDurant would have had to score 70 points to win the crown, so now we just know a little earlier that Anthony will be at the top of the slag heap this season. Anthony was a man possessed to end the regular season and will look to roll that momentum into the postseason. It's not yet clear who will start for Durant for OKC on Wednesday.
Kevin Durant's scoring crown in trouble | 04/13/2013 1:17 AM
NewsKevin Durant's shot to retain his scoring crown took a major hit with just 16 points, adding five boards, six assists, one steal and two blocks in 30 minutes on Friday.
ImpactHis points per game dropped to 28.13, which is way behind Carmelo's 28.71. Durant won the scoring title three years in a row and he'll need some massive output in his two games next week.
Durant flirts with triple-double, scores 31 | 04/12/2013 1:29 AM
NewsKevin Durant shot 10-of-16 from the field and 9-of-10 from the line for 31 points to go with 10 boards, eight assists, three steals, one block and two 3-pointers against the Warriors in Thursday's easy 116-97 win.
ImpactHe relinquished his lead in points per game to Carmelo Anthony on Sunday, but he's still arguably the best offensive force in the NBA. Durant actually takes 4.4 less shots per game than Anthony and is much more efficient. What's more, Durant is most impressive in the 10-15 foot range and his 57 percent made from there is leaps and bounds better than the league average of 42 percent. He is holding steady as the number one player in fantasy hoops.
Kevin Durant flirts with a triple-double | 04/10/2013 12:58 AM
NewsKevin Durant shot 6-of-10 from the field for 21 points with 12 boards, nine assists, three steals, one block and one 3-pointer against the Jazz on Tuesday.
ImpactHis scoring has really dipped and in his previous 10, he scored 28.7 points per game. However, Carmelo Anthony going nuts has helped him take the lead for the scoring crown. Durant turned in a huge line tonight and he'd be a good bet for MVP if not for the ridiculous season LeBron James is having.
Kevin Durant loses scoring lead Sunday | 04/07/2013 4:08 PM
NewsKevin Durant shot 7-of-17 from the field for 27 points with three rebounds, seven assists and four blocks in 45 minutes against the Knicks on Sunday.
ImpactDurant lost his lead for the scoring title and now trails Carmelo Anthony by 0.09 points per game. It was just the second time in his last 14 games in which he's failed to make a triple and also the third time in his last four games without a steal. As much as LeBron has been earning all the headlines, KD is still the best player in standard fantasy leagues for filling up eight categories.
Kevin Durant drops 34 points in win at Indy | 04/06/2013 12:53 AM
NewsKevin Durant was unfazed by Indiana's elite defense on Friday, shooting 13-of-21 from the field for 34 points to go with nine boards, one assist and two 3-pointers during an easy 97-75 win at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
ImpactThe Pacers have the lowest field goal percentage allowed in the NBA and their defensive efficiency ranks first, as well. What's more, Paul George has the highest defensive efficiency among small forwards, but he was no match for KD tonight. Durant moved his points per game to 28.38, which is barely ahead of Carmelo Anthony's 28.32. The two face each other on Sunday.
Kevin Durant scores 27 points vs. Spurs | 04/05/2013 12:32 AM
NewsKevin Durant shot 10-of-20 from the field for 25 points to go with nine boards, six assists, one steal, three blocks and two 3-pointers against the Spurs on Thursday.
ImpactHis scoring has dropped to 26.0 points per game after the All-Star break, which is down from the 29.2 he put up before that point. Carmelo Anthony has been scoring in bunches and Durant's lead for the scoring crown is down to just 0.2 points per game.
Durant scores 36 points in Thunder loss | 03/30/2013 1:25 AM
NewsKevin Durant scored 36 points on 13-of-19 shooting (1-of-3 from deep, 9-of-9 from the line) with seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and two blocks in Friday's loss to the Wolves.
ImpactThe Thunder's Big Three did fine in the box score, as Russell Westbrook scored 18 points on 7-of-17 shooting with four rebounds, nine assists and a three, and Serge Ibaka went for 10 and 11 with five blocks. The Thunder got nothing out of Kendrick Perkins (let alone Derek Fisher), as Perk's gritty screen-setting, attitude and toughness changed the culture of the Thunder so much that Nikola Pekovic waltzed his way to 22 points and 15 boards.
Kevin Durant struggling with turnovers again | 03/22/2013 10:00 AM
NewsKevin Durant is averaging 5.2 turnovers over his last nine games.
ImpactDurant is averaging 3.5 turnovers this season, down from 3.8 last season. With averages of 28.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.5 steals, 1.2 blocks and 1.8 3-pointers while still on track to record a 50-40-90 season, we can't imagine his owners care very much about the turnover issue. Scott Brooks said Durant is trying to "make the right pass," and if you own Durant, you'll gladly take the bad with the good as the latter outweighs the former by a wide margin.
Kevin Durant's 34 not enough for Denver | 03/19/2013 11:34 PM
NewsKevin Durant had 34 points, seven rebounds, five assists, a steal and two blocks on 10-of-23 shooting as the Thunder lost at home to the Nuggets on Tuesday.
ImpactThis is the third time they've lost to Denver this season and Durant was 0-for-6 from downtown, and also committed six turnovers. Russell Westbrook, who had 25 points, six assists and just one turnover, catches a lot of heat for his TOs, but Durant may end the season averaging more of them. They came into the night with Westbrook at 3.5 per game on the season, while Durant was at 3.4. And with Durant fumbling it away five more times than Westbrook tonight, those numbers will probably be reversed in the morning.
Kevin Durant scores 26 points in a win | 03/15/2013 11:48 PM
NewsKevin Durant shot 8-of-15 from the field for 26 points with nine boards, three assists, three steals and one 3-pointer against the Magic on Friday.
ImpactHe started out shooting 3-of-8 from the field and was the only player out of 10 to shooting below 50 percent from the field in the first half for OKC. KD and the Thunder put up 73 points in the first half and continue to lead the NBA in offensive efficiency this year.
Durant quiet, but OKC wins in blowout | 03/14/2013 12:24 AM
NewsKevin Durant hit 7-of-13 shots and one 3-pointer for 23 points, 10 rebounds, zero assists, zero steals, two blocks and eight turnovers in Wednesday's easy win over the Jazz.
ImpactDurant came in averaging 3.3 turnovers per game and will be very close to Russell Westbrook's average of 3.5 after tonight's line. Westbrook had 19 points, seven rebounds, nine assists, a steal, block and five turnovers on 6-of-11 shooting, and TOs or not, these two might be the most reliable tandem in the league.
Kevin Durant scores 23 points in win Sunday | 03/10/2013 4:13 PM
NewsKevin Durant shot 6-of-16 from the field for 23 points with 11 boards, four assists, one steal and three turnovers in Sunday's win over the Celtics.
ImpactHe hasn't been the Kevin Durant we've grown to know and love, shooting just 43.9 percent from the field in his previous 10 games. Despite his offensive woes, he's scored 25.9 points per game in that stretch with 10.0 boards and 1.5 blocks. Durant did shoot 11-of-11 from the line on Sunday and is one make behind James Harden for the lead on the season.
Durant hands out seven assists in win | 03/08/2013 9:13 PM
NewsKevin Durant handed out seven assists against the Bobcats to go with 19 points, six boards, one block and one 3-pointer in 24 minutes.
ImpactHe leads the NBA in fourth quarter scoring, but didn't even play in the period in a blowout win. Durant is a beast no matter where he plays and on the road this year, he scores more points per game while shooting 50 percent from the field.
Kevin Durant scores 34 points in win at MSG | 03/07/2013 11:13 PM
NewsKevin Durant scored a team-high 34 points in Thursday's 95-94 win at Madison Square Garden, adding eight boards, six assists and two 3-pointers in 44 minutes.
ImpactHe shot 9-of-20 from the field and made a living at the line, making 14-of-15 of his attempts. Durant did turn the ball over seven times, but he gave the Knicks his whole offensive repertoire with shots at the rim and soft-touch jumpers. He leads the NBA in scoring and Carmelo Anthony and company will have a tough time catching him.
Kevin Durant gets technical foul rescinded | 03/07/2013 3:57 PM
NewsThe NBA has rescinded a technical foul assessed to Kevin Durant during Tuesday's win over the Lakers.
Royce Young on Twitter
ImpactAfter the league's ruling, Durant now has 12 technicals on the season, which is four shy of the NBA's automatic-suspension threshold of 16. There's no denying Durant's played with much more of an edge this season, but the last thing fantasy owners want is him to be benched for a game down the stretch or in their league's playoffs.
Kevin Durant scores 26 in win over Lakers | 03/06/2013 1:47 AM
NewsKevin Durant scored 26 points and filled the stat sheet with nine rebounds, five assists, three steals, three blocks and a 3-pointer in Tuesday's win over the Lakers.
ImpactHe hit just 9-of-22 shots, but Durant is a fantasy beast, regardless of whether or not he's shooting lights out. The Thunder play four times per week in each of the next two scoring periods, but then go 3-3-3-2 to finish the season, which is not ideal for fantasy playoffs.
Kevin Durant drops 35 in win over Clippers | 03/03/2013 7:39 PM
NewsKevin Durant shot 10-of-25 from the field for 35 points with nine boards, four assists, two steals and three 3-pointers against the Clippers on Sunday.
ImpactHe shot 12-of-15 from the line and played 45 minutes in the victory. Durant is somewhat cold and shot just 42.9 percent from the field in his previous five games. Carmelo Anthony took the lead for the scoring crown over Durant, but KD cut the lead to just 0.03 points per game after today's performance.
Kevin Durant records third triple-double | 02/28/2013 1:12 AM
NewsKevin Durant had 18 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists and two 3-pointers on 5-of-8 shooting for the third triple-double of his career (and second this season) in an easy, blowout win over the Hornets on Wednesday.
ImpactThis is an amazingly efficient night for the stud, although more shots would have been nice. Russell Westbrook had 29 points, three assists and a 3-pointer, and made up for KD's lack of shooting by hitting 8-of-17 shots, as well as all 12 of his free throws. Serge Ibaka was also nice with 18 points, seven boards and three more blocks. The only bad news surrounding these two is their playoff schedule, as the Thunder finish up with a weekly schedule of 4-4-4-3-3-3-2, which isn't great news for the fantasy playoffs.
Kevin Durant drops triple-double in loss | 02/21/2013 3:02 AM
NewsKevin Durant had the second triple-double of his career with 16 points, 12 boards and 11 assists to go with two steals and one block in 42 minutes against the Rockets on Wednesday.
ImpactHe fouled out for the second time in a row, which is surprising since he hasn't fouled out since December 8, 2011 before Thursday's loss to Miami. KD shot 4-of-13 from the field to set a season-low in field goals and percentage in a game. He's still holding the top spot in standard fantasy leagues.
Durant has strong second half, scores 40 | 02/15/2013 12:35 AM
NewsKevin Durant got hot in the second half and finished with 40 points to go with eight boards, four assists, one steal, three blocks and one 3-pointer in a loss to Miami on Thursday.
ImpactHe shot 12-of-24 from the field and made all 15 free throws to make this an eight-category line. Durant did take an ugly fall in the first quarter and landed awkwardly on his shoulder, but he didn't miss any action. While LeBron James looks to have passed him in the MVP race, KD will enter the break as fantasy basketball's best player and leading the league in scoring.
Kevin Durant scores 33 in ugly loss | 02/13/2013 12:46 AM
NewsKevin Durant hit 11-of-16 shots for 33 points, six rebounds, five assists, four steals and three 3-pointers in Tuesday's ugly loss to the Jazz.
ImpactHe picked up a technical and flagrant foul tonight, and despite being credited with being "the nicest guy in the NBA" in his latest commercial, he's among the league leaders in technicals this year, and is clearly playing with more of an edge this season. He's also the second best player on the planet, trailing only LeBron James, who is on fire, for the honor.
Durant and Co. cruise to easy win | 02/09/2013 3:20 AM
NewsKevin Durant scored 21 points on 5-of-11 shooting (4-of-5 3PTs, 7-of-7 FTs) with six rebounds, four assists, two steals, and one block in the Thunder's 127-96 win over the Suns on Friday.
ImpactDurant bumped knees with a Suns player tonight but we haven't heard or seen any reason to be concerned. Russell Westbrook scored 17 points on 8-of-14 shooting with a full line, Serge Ibaka scored nine points with five rebounds, a career-high four assists, a three and three blocks, and Kevin Martin added 16 points and three treys in the easy win. Another fun fact -- Durant, Westbrook, and Kendrick Perkins have not played in the fourth quarter of any the team's blowout wins on this three-game homestand.
Durant fills the stat sheet for a change | 02/06/2013 11:56 PM
NewsKevin Durant filled the stat sheet in a win over the Warriors on Wednesday, scoring 25 points with seven boards, four assists, two steals, two blocks and two 3-pointers.
ImpactDurant has more 30-point games than any player, but his multi-category production has made him the fantasy beast that he is. Among small forwards, he ranks third in assists, third in rebounds and he is tied for the lead in blocks with Andrei Kirilenko.
| 02/05/2013 2:42 AM
NewsKevin Durant returned to action on Monday February 4.
Kevin Durant double-doubles against Dallas | 02/05/2013 1:44 AM
NewsKevin Durant filled the stat sheet in a 112-91 win over Dallas with 19 points, 10 boards, four assists, two steals, one block and two 3-pointers on Monday.
ImpactHe shot 6-of-11 from the field and 5-of-6 from the line to make this an eight-cat gem. Tonight was Durant's first game below 20 points since December 17, but he's completely slump proof with the way he's adding stats across the board in a monster season.
Update: Kevin Durant expected to play Monday | 02/04/2013 1:55 PM
NewsUpdating a previous item, Kevin Durant (ribs) is expected to play on Monday.
John Rohde on Twitter
ImpactDurant was uncertain coming into Monday's action due to bruised ribs, but he'll be out there like usual, so make sure he's locked into your lineup.
Durant unconcerned w/ ribs, status unknown | 02/04/2013 9:18 AM
NewsKevin Durant was not concerned with the injury he sustained to his ribs, but his status for Monday's game is uncertain.
ImpactDurant bruised his ribs on Saturday and returned to finish the game. After an off day Sunday, Durant is likely to be reevaluated on Monday morning and could be headed for the dreaded game-time call against Dallas. Scott Brooks said Durant was "fine" on Saturday, adding, "We're not going to put him out there if he's not ready to play the way we need him to play."
Durant shakes off bruised ribs, scores 32 pts | 02/02/2013 11:25 PM
NewsKevin Durant had 32 points, three 3-pointers, 11 rebounds, three assists and one steal on Saturday, despite briefly leaving the game with bruised ribs.
ImpactThere's never any doubt whether Durant will play through pain, and he was his usual clutch self vs. the Cavaliers in the fourth quarter tonight. Use him as you normally would for Monday's game against the visiting Mavs.
Kevin Durant exits, questionable to return | 02/02/2013 10:21 PM
NewsKevin Durant left Saturday's game with an undisclosed injury and his return is uncertain.
ImpactDurant was hit in the side by Alonzo Gee and played in obvious discomfort before eventually heading into OKC's locker room. He has since returned to the bench and we'll pass along more details as available.

NewsKevin Durant shot 10-of-26 from the field and 13-of-14 from the line for 35 points in a loss to the Lakers on Sunday, adding two rebounds, four assists, one steal and two 3-pointers.
ImpactHe was much more aggressive than usual, taking 12 shots in the paint to go with those 14 attempts at the charity stripe. Durant has been absolutely dominant in free throw shooting in the month of January, making 93 percent at a 10-shot-per-game clip. He's fantasy basketball's best player.

NewsKevin Durant poured in 33 points in Wednesday's defeat, making 10-of-17 FGs and 11-of-12 FTs, and he's now averaging 38.5 points in OKC's past seven road games.
ImpactThe Thunder are 5-2 during that stretch, but tonight's loss had nothing to do with Durant -- he hit two 3-pointers with five rebounds, nine assists, one steal and three blocks. Even as the No. 1 pick, he's probably the steal of most fantasy drafts.

Russell Westbrook scored 31 points on 12-of-26 shooting with six rebounds and six assists, Serge Ibaka went for 11 and 14 with two blocks, and Kevin Martin was quiet with 11 points on 3-of-10 shooting and one triple in the win.
Kevin Durant on pace to join 50-40-90 club | 01/17/2013 5:11 PM
NewsKevin Durant could become only the sixth player in NBA history to finish the season shooting 50 percent from the field, 40 percent from 3-point range and 90 percent from the free-throw line.
ImpactIf you needed further evidence of how ridiculous a season Durant is having, the MVP frontrunner is ahead of the pace in all three categories after 39 games. The only other members of the exclusive club are Steve Nash (four times), Dirk Nowitzki, Mark Price, Larry Bird (twice) and Reggie Miller. We're not saying Durant is going to finish the season with those numbers, but the fact that he's still on pace to do so nearly halfway through the 2012-13 campaign is amazing in itself.

NewsKevin Durant scored 20 points with two rebounds, four assists, five steals and two 3-pointers against the Nuggets on Wednesday.
ImpactHe matched his season high with five steals, but he also tied a season low with two rebounds and also snapped a four-game streak with at least one block. Before today's game, Durant ranked second among small forwards in both rebounds and blocks. He took a backseat to Russell Westbrook on Wednesday and still put up a solid line.

NewsKevin Durant had his second 40-point game in his last three contests against the Suns on Monday, scoring 41 points with five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two 3-pointers in 43 minutes.
ImpactHe won Western Conference Player of the Week for last week's performance and justifiably so. Durant shot 15-of-30 from the field and hasn't shot below 47 percent in any of his eight 2013 games. He should be considered as the frontrunner for MVP at this point.
Kevin Durant goes off with another huge line | 01/10/2013 1:26 AM
NewsKevin Durant shot 10-of-17 from the field and 4-of-4 from the line for 26 points with eight rebounds, three assists, three steals, four blocks, and two 3-pointers in Wednesday's win over the wins.

KD did play well, shooting 11-of-17 from the field for 27 points with five boards, five assists, two steals and two 3-pointers.
