Bills second-round LB Kiko Alonso is already calling out the defensive plays as he works mostly at "Mike" linebacker.
Alonso lined up mostly on the strong side during rookie minicamp, but the Bills are putting more on his plate. Per NFL.com's Gregg Rosenthal, Alonso and veteran Bryan Scott were the first-team inside 'backers Tuesday, while Nigel Bradham and Arthur Moats worked with the second unit. Alonso is going to be asked to play major snaps as a rookie, and he's a three-down linebacker.

Steelers OTs Mike Adams and Marcus Gilbert will compete for the starting left tackle job.
Adams, the No. 56 overall pick last year, started six games at right tackle as a rookie and gave up seven sacks. Gilbert, entering his third season, also started six games at right tackle. Both players finished the season on injured reserve with ankle injuries. Free agent Max Starks isn't expected to be re-signed, and the loser of the competition will stick on the right side.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports the Eagles are "high" on DL Cedric Thornton, and he's projected to start at defensive end this season.
Thornton is entering his third season with the Eagles after being signed as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Arkansas. He appeared in all 16 games in 2012, recording 27 tackles and a sack. Thornton will be competing for the five-technique spot with Vinny Curry and Bennie Logan. Fletcher Cox has the other defensive end position locked up, while Isaac Sopoaga will occupy nose tackle.
