Assets:	A stopper who possesses good tackling ability and the mobility. Versatile, well-rounded and productive (showing good read-and-react skills in picking off the errant pass or stepping up in the blitz).
Flaws:	Still learning and adjusting. Lacks explosive speed and is somewhat small for both safety and linebacker. Needs to really find his niche and really exploit his skills.

Giants re-signed S Stevie Brown to a one-year, $2.023 million contract.

Brown earned every penny as a first-time starter last season, rolling up 76 tackles, two forced fumbles and eight interceptions. His eight picks were second only to Tim Jennings' nine. With Kenny Phillips now an Eagle, Brown will be returning as a starter opposite Antrel Rolle. The G-Men also have Will Hill, Ryan Mundy and Tyler Sash at safety.

Brown, who played linebacker at Michigan, was a revelation in place of injured Kenny Phillips last season, recording 76 tackles, eight interceptions, and two forced fumbles across 16 games, starting 11. Phillips is a free agent and unlikely to return, making Brown the obvious candidate to replace him full time.

Plucked from the Colts after they declined to tender him a contract last offseason, Brown intercepted eight passes his first year in New York, good for second in the league. He also contributed 76 tackles, and started 11-of-16 games. Bringing Brown back is a no-brainer for the G-Men.
