A.J. Green reels in touchdown in Week 14 | 12/08/2013 6:48 PM
NewsA.J. Green caught six passes for 72 yards and one touchdown in Week 14 against the Colts.
ImpactGreen was targeted a team-high eight times and led the Bengals in catches and yards. His touchdown came from nine yards out on a fade over the top of Darius Butler to put the Bengals up 35-14. Green is an obvious weekly WR1. The Steelers are up next. Green caught six passes for 41 yards on 15 targets in Week 2 against Pittsburgh.
Colts don't intend to shadow Green with Davis | 12/08/2013 10:51 AM
NewsThe Indianapolis Star reports the Colts don't plan to shadow A.J. Green with Vontae Davis in Sunday's Colts-Bengals game.
Stephen Holder on Twitter
ImpactThe plan, according to beat writer Stephen Holder, is for Davis to stay on the right side. Green runs a lot of his routes against left corners, so it could be an opportunity for the Bengals to take advantage of some mismatches with Greg Toler (groin) still sidelined. Cassius Vaughn will play the majority of the snaps at left corner. Davis is Pro Football Focus' No. 7 corner this season. Green is locked in as a WR1 and is our No. 5 receiver for Week 14.
A.J. Green upgraded to 'full' on Thursday | 12/05/2013 6:09 PM
NewsA.J. Green (groin) was upgraded to "full" in Thursday's practice.
ImpactGreen's limited session Wednesday was just a precaution. He's a high-end WR1 for Week 14.
A.J. Green (groin) limited on Wednesday | 12/04/2013 3:42 PM
NewsA.J. Green (groin) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
Joe Reedy on Twitter
ImpactGreen played the entire game in Sunday's win over the Chargers, so the Bengals are likely just resting him for precautionary reasons. He's locked in as a WR1 for Week 14 against the Colts.
A.J. Green shut down by Joe Haden | 11/17/2013 5:24 PM
NewsA.J. Green had just two catches for seven yards in Sunday's Week 11 win over the Browns.
ImpactGreen was shut down by shadow coverage from Joe Haden and targeted on both of Andy Dalton's interceptions. He finished with just five targets in a game where Dalton completed only 13 passes. It's the first time this season Green has been held under 41 yards receiving and breaks a streak of five straight 100-plus yard games. Green will be a strong bounce back candidate when the Bengals come out of their bye in Week 12 against the Chargers.
Scattered storms on deck for Browns-Bengals | 11/17/2013 9:28 AM
NewsAs of Sunday morning, the forecast for Browns-Bengals is calling for cloudy skies, scattered thunderstorms, and 14-20 MPH winds.
ImpactWe might be in good shape. Chances of rain increase from 20 percent at game time to around 60-70 percent at 4 PM ET, when the NFC North matchup should be coming to a close. Strong storms are expected at 6 PM ET. We wouldn't downgrade A.J. Green, who's an obvious WR1 even in Joe Haden's shadow coverage, and company much. Andy Dalton and Jason Campbell remain QB2 options.

NewsJoe Haden is expected to shadow A.J. Green Sunday.
A.J. Green hauls in Hail Mary, posts 8-151-1 | 11/10/2013 4:56 PM
NewsA.J. Green caught eight passes for 151 yards and one touchdown in Cincinnati's Week 10, 20-17 overtime loss to the Ravens.
A.J. Green has fourth straight 100-yard game | 11/01/2013 12:55 AM
NewsA.J. Green had 11 catches for 128 yards in Thursday night's Week 9 loss to the Dolphins.
ImpactGreen was targeted 19 times by Andy Dalton and set a career high in receptions. He wasn't able to get anything going downfield, finishing with a long catch of just 21 yards. Green has now put together four straight 100-yard games and is locked in as a WR1 for next week's matchup against the Ravens.
A.J. Green abuses Cromartie for 3-115-0 | 10/27/2013 8:07 PM
NewsA.J. Green caught three passes for 115 yards in Week 8 against the Jets.
ImpactGreen was targeted seven times by Andy Dalton. He was working against Antonio Cromartie for much of the afternoon but had zero trouble breezing past him on a couple occasions. Dalton under-threw Green on the opening drive. The two later hooked up for a 53-yard connection. Green has surpassed 100 yards receiving in three consecutive games and is on pace for a 92-1,468-10 line at the season's halfway point. The yards would be a new career-high. If Dalton keeps playing as well as he is right now, it's certainly achievable. Green and the 6-2 Bengals travel to Miami to take on a reeling Dolphins squad Thursday.
A.J. Green goes off for 6-155-1 in Week 7 win | 10/20/2013 4:48 PM
NewsA.J. Green caught six passes for 155 yards and one touchdown in Cincinnati's Week 7, 27-24 win over the Lions.
ImpactThere were opportunities for even more yards for Green, but Andy Dalton's deep ball is too poor. Green was targeted eight times on the day. In the first quarter, he beat Chris Houston on a double-move and came back on a Dalton bomb to reel it in and take it to the house for an 82-yard score. There were two other deep balls that were under-thrown by Dalton that could have possibly gone for scores. Green had steps on the defensive backs. The Jets are up next.
A.J. Green posts 6-103-1 line in Week 6 win | 10/13/2013 6:19 PM
NewsA.J. Green caught six passes for 103 yards and one touchdown in Week 6 against the Bills.
ImpactGreen saw a game-high 11 targets. His touchdown catch came on a pretty 18-yard double-move against Leodis McKelvin. Green then high-pointed the ball in the end zone as he contorted his body back toward Andy Dalton. Green's long catch of 54 yards came on a screen pass. Bengals receivers were lethal post-catch Sunday afternoon. Green remains locked in as a weekly WR1.
A.J. Green has 61-yard day vs. Patriots | 10/06/2013 5:22 PM
NewsA.J. Green caught five passes for 61 yards in Cincinnati's Week 5 win over the Patriots.
ImpactGreen had little trouble with lockdown Pats CB Aqib Talib, and was instead hurt far more by the play of Andy Dalton, who didn't appear to have permission to chuck it more than 10-12 yards beyond the line of scrimmage. The Bengals continue to dial back Dalton's responsibilities, and it's resulted in four straight sub-70 yard games for their No. 1 receiver. Green has a top-five skill-set at receiver, but is going to be more of a back-end WR1 until he figures out how to make noise with his quarterback being reined in.
A.J. Green goes for 51 yards in Week 4 | 09/29/2013 5:18 PM
NewsA.J. Green caught seven balls for 51 yards in the Bengals' Week 4 loss to the Bengals.
ImpactThe good news: He was targeted 15 times. The bad news: Joe Haden had a blanket on Green from the first snap into garbage time, when Haden began playing off coverage and allowing short catches. Green will remain a top-five fantasy receiver play in Week 5 against Aqib Talib's Patriots. Through four weeks, Green is on pace for 104 catches, 1,200 yards, and 12 touchdown receptions.
A.J. Green has 4/46/1 afternoon vs. Packers | 09/22/2013 5:14 PM
NewsA.J. Green caught four passes for 46 yards and a touchdown in Cincinnati's Week 3 win over the Packers.
A.J. Green held in check by Ike Taylor on MNF | 09/17/2013 12:15 AM
NewsA.J. Green caught six passes for 41 yards in Cincinnati's Week 2 win over the Steelers on Monday night.
ImpactGreen was targeted a game-high 14 times, but Ike Taylor did a fine job of locking him down and not letting Green get past him for any bombs. Through two weeks, Green is tied with Julian Edelman for second in the league at 27 targets. They're two behind Andre Johnson. Next week, Green should revert back to his top-five receiver form against the Packers. Green Bay has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing receivers after two games.
A.J. Green lights up Bears with 9/162/2 line | 09/08/2013 5:39 PM
NewsA.J. Green caught nine balls for 162 yards and two touchdowns in the Bengals' Week 1 loss to the Bears.
ImpactThe Bears got the win, but the most dominant player on the field was Green. He whipped Charles Tillman for an early 42-yard, one-armed bomb, and then got the better of Tillman again for a two-yard score. Green's second touchdown occurred when he blew by Tim Jennings on a play-action play, scoring from 45 yards out. One of the best five wide receivers in the NFL, Green will remain an elite fantasy play in Week 2 against the Steelers.

NewsA.J. Green (knee) has not been ruled out of this week's preseason game.
ImpactGreen has been participating in 11-on-11 drills during practice and has declared his knee 100 percent. If he doesn't play against the Cowboys on Saturday night, it will just be a case of the Bengals handling their superstar with kid gloves.

NewsA.J. Green (knee) caught passes against the Bengals' defense Thursday for the first time since training camp began.
ImpactGreen caught two touchdown passes and is running the full route tree again. "He picked up where he left off," Andy Dalton observed. "He said he's 100 percent, he looked 100 percent out there ... it's good to see him make big catches like that. That's what he does." Green is a locked-in second-round fantasy pick.

A.J. Green (knee) resumes individual drills | 08/14/2013 1:51 PM
NewsA.J. Green (knee) returned to individual drills on Wednesday.
Chris Mortensen on Twitter
ImpactIt's been nearly three weeks since Green tweaked his knee, so it appears he would have missed games were it the regular season. As it is, he now has plenty of time to get back to 100 percent before Week 1. Green's health is not a concern, and he remains locked in as a top-three fantasy receiver.
A.J. Green close to getting back in practice | 08/13/2013 8:18 AM
NewsA.J. Green (knee) is close to returning to practice.
ImpactGreen has been sidelined since bruising his knee back on July 26, the second day of camp. He's not going to play in Saturday's preseason game, but it's clear he's avoided any serious injury. As the first episode of Hard Knocks showed, the Bengals just aren't going to take any chances with their irreplaceable wideout.
Bengals rule out Green for preseason opener | 08/04/2013 12:54 PM
NewsA.J. Green (knee) has been ruled out for the preseason opener versus the Falcons.
ImpactThe Bengals will travel to Atlanta for their Thursday night opener. Green "tweaked" his left knee last Friday and hasn't practiced since, though he remains on track to be 100 percent well in time for the regular season. Andrew Hawkins (ankle) has also been ruled out for Thursday night's game.
A.J. Green to miss preseason opener | 08/02/2013 12:26 AM
NewsA.J. Green (knee) is expected to miss the Bengals' preseason opener.
ImpactGreen "tweaked" his left knee early in training camp and hasn't been on the field for the last week. The Bengals have no reason to rush back the face of their franchise. Green remains on schedule to be 100 percent before Week 1.
A.J. Green's MRI comes back clean | 07/26/2013 12:17 PM
NewsA.J. Green underwent an MRI after tweaking his left knee at training camp Thursday, and the exam revealed no structural damage.
Joe Kay on Twitter
ImpactCoach Marvin Lewis characterized the injury -- if you even want to call it that -- as a "twisted" knee. "I think he's fine," Lewis added. Green appears to be day to day. He should be back on the practice field in a short amount of time.
A.J. Green has been working to cut out drops | 04/16/2013 9:02 AM
NewsA.J. Green said his biggest goal this offseason is to cut down on his drops.
ImpactLast year, Green was officially credited with seven drops and Pro Football Focus hit him with 10. He still ranked seventh in receptions (97), tenth in yards (1,351) and fourth in receiving touchdowns (11). Green has spent the past few months working out with the likes of Calvin Johnson and Demaryius Thomas in Atlanta.
Dalton regrets not going to Green more | 01/08/2013 11:22 AM
NewsAndy Dalton expressed regret over not getting A.J. Green involved more in Saturday's Wild Card loss to the Texans.
Green finishes with 80 yards as Bengals fall | 01/05/2013 8:50 PM
NewsA.J. Green caught five balls for 80 yards in the Bengals' Wild Card Round loss to the Texans.
ImpactGreen wasn't targeted once in the first half while Jermaine Gresham turned a team-high four first-half targets into one yard and three dropped passes. It was the first half of Green's career in which he was not targeted. Andy Dalton finally found Green for a 41-yard bomb in the third quarter, exposing Texans CB Johnathan Joseph in single coverage to set up a field goal. Later in the third, Green appeared to quit on a route and the pass was easily picked by Joseph. Dalton simply missed an open Green for what could've been the game-winning touchdown late in the fourth quarter. Green finished the regular season as the No. 4 overall fantasy receiver. He turns 24 before next season, and we like his chances of staying in the same fantasy vicinity in 2013.
