Mike Goodson will plead not guilty to both his gun and drug charges.
Goodson's attorney claims he had "no knowledge" of guns or drugs being in an acquaintance's car when it was pulled over last Friday morning. "Mike's charged with possession of that gun, but we're confident we're going to be able to show (the gun wasn't his)," Goodson's attorney said. Goodson will be facing jail time if convicted.

"Oh, absolutely," Mornhinweg said when asked if a winner could be determined in OTAs. "Sure. Absolutely. That's all part of the process. Everything we do is important. Our meetings are important. the way we go about our meetings, the way we go about our preparation right now with a new system. These are very important things. Every pass we throw out there in OTAs and these practices are important." Mornhinweg noted that the longer the competition drags out, the less reps the possible starter gets with the first-team offense since they'd be equally splitting them until a winner is named. The Jets wrap up OTAs and mandatory minicamp on June 13.

The Jets are going to want Goodson to lay low until they make a decision on his future. ESPN New York considers Goodson's roster spot a "major question mark" following his Friday arrest on gun and drug charges.
