The Denver Post reports the Broncos made Charles Woodson a one-year offer worth a maximum of $3.7 million through "reachable incentives."
Woodson's Raiders deal is worth a max of $4.3 million, though it's unknown how "reachable" the incentives are. He'll make a base salary of $1.8 million, and brought home a $700,000 signing bonus. Unless the Broncos' base offer was dramatically lower, it's definitely surprising Woodson chose the cellar-dwelling Raiders over Denver based on a theoretical extra $600,000. Money talks.

The deal includes a $700,000 signing bonus, and is worth a maximum of $4.3 million. Woodson is returning to the team that made him the No. 4 pick of the 1998 draft. Woodson spent the first eight years of his career in Oakland before defecting to Green Bay, earning 1999 All-Pro honors. He's chosen Oakland over the Broncos despite the fact that Denver is on the cusp of the Super Bowl, while the Raiders are one of the worst teams in the league. However Woodson spins it, money was almost certainly the determining factor. Going on 37, Woodson has lost multiple steps the past few seasons, but will still likely be a better option than Usama Young opposite Tyvon Branch. Woodson won't be a 1,000-snap player this season, likely playing somewhere between 500-750.

According to the Contra Costa Times, Terrelle Pryor's passes are still "too wobbly and off the mark" to be considered a legitimate threat for the Raiders' starting quarterback job.
Last preseason, we were taken aback a bit by Pryor's woeful accuracy and poor velocity on precision throws, although he can heave it downfield with some power. He's simply not an effective passer. While rookie Tyler Wilson has shined at OTA practices, Pryor has stumbled. Look for Matt Flynn and Wilson to make 2013 starts while Pryor operates as the third-stringer in a baseball cap.
