ImpactFreeman had gone five straight games without an RBI, but this brings his total to 22 in 27 games this season. He'll start hitting more homers soon enough.

ImpactEntering the game, Freeman was 11-for-45 (.244) with a .647 OPS over 11 May games. Monday's game hopefully shook him from a 4-for-23 slide. Hitting in the middle of a loaded lineup, Freeman has breakout potential.

ImpactFreeman has been back a week and hasn't missed a beat, as he is now hitting .319 with 12 RBI on the year. The first baseman is hitting cleanup behind Justin Upton in the order, a good place to be these days. He should be activated in all formats.

He has the potential for a breakout season.

ImpactThe first baseman struggled in his first rehab game at Triple-A Gwinnett, but he rounded into form on Saturday, going 5-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored. Freeman played first base in the game as well, and he'll play the field again on Sunday. Assuming he doesn't suffer a setback, he should be inserted into fantasy lineups first thing Monday.

ImpactIt's the first time he's swung a bat since being placed on the disabled list on April 7. "See if it's sore tomorrow," he said. "Go at it again tomorrow if it's feeling all right." Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez thinks the first baseman could be ready for activation when he's first eligible on April 22. "It wouldn't surprise me when if 15 days are up he's ready to play, or shortly thereafter," Gonzalez said.

ImpactFreeman has looked a little off the last couple of games, and now we know why. The Braves haven't said how long they expect him to be out, but with obliques it's usually a minimum of three weeks. Chris Johnson will handle first base while Freeman is sidelined.

ImpactFreeman now leads all major leaguers with seven homers this spring, giving him one more than Domonic Brown and Michael Morse. He's also second with 15 RBI, one behind Braves teammate Justin Upton. Penciled into the cleanup spot in between the Uptons, one would think he's in line to reach 100 RBI for the first time this year.
