Assets:	Has good size and plenty of pitching savvy as a typical crafty left-hander. His arm is resilient enough to pitch deep in games.
Flaws:	Can get hit hard at times, since his stuff isn't dominant. Can also be a bit wild at times, which is something he can't afford to be.

Dallas Keuchel gave up two runs in six innings in a no-decision against the Rangers on Friday.

Impact

It was a solid performance against a tough lineup. Keuchel, who was just added to the rotation this week, gave up five hits and two walks while striking out three. It was just the 10th quality start by the Astros this season, which is still dead-last in the majors. This should be enough for Keuchel to stick for a little while, but he's not fantasy relevant.

The Astros will also call up Jordan Lyles, so it's expected that one of them will start Thursday against the Tigers. Kuechel allowed four runs in 10 2/3 innings over four relief appearances with the Astros earlier this month.

Keuchel took one for the team on Saturday, pitching 2 2/3 innings in relief of starter Philip Humber. For his efforts, the lefty was optioned out a day later. He has a 3.38 ERA through four appearances this season.

They also reassigned Che-Hsuan Lin, Carlos Perez, C.J. Fick, Josh Zeid and Sergio Escalona to minor league camp. Paredes probably had the best chance of the group to earn an Opening Day roster spot, but his demotion isn't terribly surprising. Keuchel will likely get a shot at some starts at some point this season.
