Is a scrappy infielder with versatility. Can draw walks and make solid contact on a consistent basis.
Flaws:
Doesn't have enough pop in his bat to play every day in Major League Baseball. Needs to find his niche.
Career Potential:
Backup infielder with a little upside.

Impact
Maybe the Red Sox dodged a bullet with Will Middlebrooks' injury last night, but we're not so sure yet. If Middlebrooks suffers more setbacks with his wrist, Holt would battle Pedro Ciriaco and Drew Sutton for time at third base. If not, then Holt is probably out of luck for a job, since he has options left and Ciriaco doesn't.
