Great speed and quickness. Tough to jam on the line. Knows how to set up defenders and can get open on underneath routes. Can get deep and make the tough catch.
Flaws:
A sidelines-to-hashmarks guy. Has had injury problems. A short receiver who doesn't win as many jump balls as he should. Needs to keep his focus on when his number isn't called.
Career Potential:
Very good wideout.

Santana Moss' role unchanged for 2013 | 03/22/2013 1:57 PM
News
Redskins coach Mike Shanahan anticipates Santana Moss' role staying the same in 2013.
Washington Times
Impact
"He did a great job in our third-down package," said Shanahan. "I expect him to come in in the same type of shape and make the same plays he did last year." Moss played only 43 percent of Washington's offensive snaps, catching 41 balls for 573 yards and eight touchdowns. Regression will likely catch up to his TDs.
Redskins rework Santana Moss' contract | 03/12/2013 11:12 AM
News
The Redskins have cleared $2 million in salary cap room by reworking Santana Moss' contract.
David Elfin on Twitter
Impact
They're now believed to be roughly $3 million under the cap, giving the Skins some flexibility to sign a free-agent cornerback. Moss' restructure makes it likely he'll return to the slot-receiver role in Washington, though he may have to compete. Moss turns 34 in June. His salary previously was $4.15 million.
Redskins could release Santana Moss | 03/08/2013 5:43 PM
News
Santana Moss is a candidate to be released.
CBS Sports
Impact
Moss' cap number is $6.1 million, and the Redskins could save $4.5 million against the cap by releasing him. With the Redskins wanting to go out and sign a couple of free agents, the team needs to clear some space. Washington is currently $3 million over the cap, but they could save $12.5 million by releasing Moss and DeAngelo Hall.
Santana Moss has a $6.1 million cap number | 02/12/2013 9:39 AM
News
Santana Moss' cap number for 2013 is $6.1 million.
Washington Post
Impact
Clearly, Moss is going to have to restructure his deal if he hopes to return to the Redskins. He's now entering his age-34 season and is coming off a year in which he played limited snaps exclusively out of the slot, finishing with 41 catches for 573 yards. Moss was a major part of the goal-line package as he scored eight touchdowns. Still, the Washington Post suggests Leonard Hankerson and Aldrick Robinson as in-house candidates to move into the slot if Moss is dumped.
Santana Moss' roster spot in jeopardy | 01/08/2013 2:13 PM
News
Santana Moss' base salary jumps from $2.65 million in 2012 to $4.15 million in 2013.
Rich Campbell on Twitter
Impact
Moss held up well in the slot, leading the team with eight touchdowns. He turns 34 in June, however, and his salary is prohibitive for a declining receiver who no longer makes plays after the catch. Moss will likely be asked to take a pay cut.
Santana Moss held to 19 yards in loss | 01/06/2013 9:26 PM
News
Santana Moss caught three passes for just 19 yards in the Redskins' Wild Card round loss to the Seahawks.
Rotoworld.com
Impact
Moss was a non-factor as his longest play went for just 10 yards against a Seahawks defense that dominated the final three quarters. He finished 41st in fantasy points this season, thanks to an unrepeatable eight touchdowns. Due $2.65 million in 2013, the 32-year-old may be a candidate for release this offseason.
