Brings a rare and elite mix of size, speed, agility, and hands. Overpowering physically and runs like a tailback: exceedingly smooth in the open field. Regularly makes highlight-reel plays. Breaks tackles. A hard worker and a clutch perfomer.
Flaws:
Can be a bit streaky game-to-game and needs to show he can be focused 100 percent of the time; has some ball security issues. Sometimes struggles against physical coverage and double-teams.
Career Potential:
Pro Bowl wideout.

It sounds much worse than it is. Johnson played with two broken fingers for much of last year and we all remember the Dez Bryant saga. Johnson is fully expected to be ready for the entire offseason program. He's played in 93 of 96 possible NFL games.
Calvin Johnson destroys pass-stacked defenses | 02/14/2013 12:17 PM

While the statistics strongly hint at Detroit's lack of a viable run game, it also confirms Megatron's dominance versus "pass-stacked defenses." He beats double and triple teams on the regular. Still just 27 years old, Johnson has led the NFL in receiving yards and all wide receivers in fantasy points in back-to-back seasons. A better running game could actually make him more efficient.
Knee surgery a possibility for Megatron | 01/03/2013 7:28 PM
News
Calvin Johnson will have to be re-examined to determine if the knee injury that bothered him all season will require surgery.

Impact
It would likely be just a cleanup procedure if Johnson goes under the knife. GM Martin Mayhew heaped praise on Megatron for battling a litany of injuries while breaking Jerry Rice's single-season record. "We get an injury report that has a line for every injury, one week he had four lines, four different things going on," Mayhew said. "He had a phenomenal season for him to play the way he played (while injured)."
