An electric return man who explodes into gaps the second he catches the ball. A good athlete with great agility, coordination, and fluidity. Versatile: can line up at wide receiver if needed, and can even play some cornerback in a pinch.
Flaws:
A bit small (limiting him as a blocker and in short-yardage situations) and needs to add muscle mass. Can be fumble-prone. Needs to find his niche at the NFL level.
Career Potential:
Explosive utility man on offense & defense.

"They're going to have to kill me to take my spot," McKnight said. "So, whoever they bring in, I don't care. I'm just going to make it a point to prove I'm going to be here." McKnight is entering the final year of his rookie deal, and he says new OC Marty Mornhinweg has been working him in the slot, too. The 25-year-old has averaged 4.5 YPC on 112 career totes and isn't a legit offensive threat.
Joe McKnight jazzed about 2013 prospects | 05/06/2013 12:13 PM

Joe McKnight considers himself a legitimate contender for the Jets' starting running back job, and vows to be "a lot better" in 2013.
New York Post
Impact
"I made that promise to myself," McKnight said. "If not, I'm going to die trying. I'm nowhere near close to where I want to go." McKnight also claims to have never had a single conversation with former OC Tony Sparano, but that he "loves" new OC Marty Mornhinweg. McKnight's fire is admirable, but he should remain a gadget player/special teamer this season.
